Startupbusiness was born as a project at the end of 2008 with the support of the Chamber of Commerce of Milan, which believed in the business network for the innovation ecosystem and financially backed it for more than one year, until the end of 2009.

In January 2010 Startupbusiness incorporated as an independent company, following its natural evolution, and because it is the best way to support further growth.

For the 1400 members of Startupbusiness business network: start ups, enterprises, investors, incubators, scientific and technology parks, Universities, local, National and European institutions, the change will come with the availability of new tools and opportunities. But there will be no changes in the way members use the business network in terms of changing information, ideas, proposals, contacts, projects.

One of the first news is the partnership with Intesa Sanpaolo, the largest Italian bank, on two projects: the Start up initiative and Eurodesk that is the bank’s office that works to bring investment opportunities coming from European Union to Italian enterprises and start ups.

Startupbusiness will continue to organize off-line events as it did during 2009 with the ‘speed dating of innovation’, and will continue to develop strategic partnerships with sites focused on contents and news about the innovation ecosystems as are Innov’azione magazine and the Intesa Sanpaolo Eurodesk blog.
