LexDo, €1.7 million round to simplify business creation

LexDo.it, a start-up that creates a digital platform enabling users to start, manage and grow new businesses, has announced that it has closed a €1.7 million pre-Series A funding round in support of its mission to simplify the creation of new Italian businesses. The start-up aims to accelerate growth and increase its workforce to around 100 people by the end of 2025.

The round consists of an investment by business angels and the participation of Invitalia and fintech Viceversa. Investors include Roberto Spada (founder of Spada Partners), Luca Orsini (founder of the Antares European Fund), and Roberto Lombardi (business angel and investor).

LexDo.it offers everything a new business needs: online start-up and comprehensive management of accounting, contracts and consulting in a single digital platform, with a team of professionals always on hand, as well as a range of complementary tools such as business current accounts, POS payments, solutions for accessing tenders and subsidised finance, and other digital products and services.

The capital raised will be used to grow the team, which will double in size by the end of 2025 to around 100 people, with strategic additions of developers, designers, and legal and accounting professionals. The technological development of the platform will also be accelerated, with the launch of new features based on artificial intelligence and automation to digitise and simplify management processes for the benefit of SMEs and professionals.

Italy is one of the largest European markets, with 4.5 million active businesses (source: Eurostat), but it remains one of the most complex and expensive countries in which to start a business: compliance and start-up taxes can exceed €4,000 on average. LexDo.it, according to a press release, now has over 400,000 users and, through its digital platform, has already assisted more than 6,500 new businesses in setting up, guaranteeing savings of up to €3,000 in the first year compared to traditional channels.

“Entrepreneurs are the beating heart of the economy. We created LexDo.it because in Italy it is still too difficult to start a business without bureaucratic obstacles. Today we are proud to be the point of reference for thousands of companies that open and manage their businesses entirely online with us,” says Giovanni Toffoletto, CEO and founder of LexDo.it. (in the photo) – With these new resources, we will take another step forward in offering even more support to Italian entrepreneurs: with our platform, starting a new business will be as easy as saying ‘done’.

We are proud to accompany LexDo.it on its journey towards sustainable development. Viceversa supports ambitious teams, firmly believing in their growth potential and offering non-dilutive capital and predictive analytics to foster faster growth, with a focus on quality, efficiency and impact,” says Matteo Masserdotti, CEO and co-founder of Viceversa.
