CommerceClarity, a start-up that develops artificial intelligence solutions for e-commerce, has announced that it has closed a €2.7 million investment round.
The transaction is led by Italian Founders Fund (IFF) and Belgian fund Entourage, with participation from Euregio+ (Alpine VC) and Redstone, Vento, Vesper Holding, Ithaca Investments, and business angels active in the tech and AI sectors, including Gianluca Cocco (Qomodo), Simone Mancini (Scalapay), Danila De Stefano (UnoBravo), Luca Rossi (Refactoring) and Fabio Tomassini (Starting Finance).
What convinced the market and investors was CommerceClarity’s vision and execution capabilities, which arrived with a precise time to market just as a new era of e-commerce was dawning, characterised by artificial intelligence and agentic systems. While the latter exponentially increase the difficulties and complexity that merchants face in defining and managing channels and catalogues, they also provide concrete solutions. CommerceClarity is committed to analysing the former and developing the latter, enabling brands and retailers to succeed in this new landscape thanks to artificial intelligence agents that operate as autonomous collaborators, capable of automating and optimising operations, margins and growth, and even supporting decisions on assortment and pricing over time. According to a recent McKinsey analysis, by 2030, up to $5 trillion in global retail sales could be mediated by artificial intelligence agents, confirming the scale of the transformation underway (source: Agentic commerce: How agents are ushering in a new era, McKinsey).
The tech company founded by Federico Sargenti, Daniele Vella, Michele Sampieri and Alessandro Angelini (pictured), all with managerial and entrepreneurial backgrounds in the tech and e-commerce world, was created with the mission of building the intelligent infrastructure of modern online commerce, enabling e-commerce teams to scale and automate their catalogue operations with precision, speed and control, creating new opportunities for growth and sales.
Just a few months after its market launch, CommerceClarity has already been adopted by over 40 retailers and brands in various sectors, including Nestlé Purina (pet food), Cisalfa (sportswear and equipment), Arcaplanet (pet care), 1000Farmacie (pharmaceuticals), Caddy’s (home and personal care) and Next HS (consumer electronics). Its technology has enabled operating costs to be reduced by up to 90%, traffic and sales to be increased by up to 30% and time-to-market to be reduced from weeks to a few hours.
The start-up is among the first players to explore the new frontier of optimisation for generative AI engines, known as Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO), which represents the natural evolution of SEO and promises to redefine the rules of digital commerce.
The capital raised will be used to accelerate the development of the multi-agent platform, strengthen the team, expand integrations with leading e-commerce platforms, and support international expansion, with a focus on English-speaking markets.
“The future of commerce will be driven by networks of intelligent agents capable of collaborating with each other to optimise every decision and simplify operational complexity. With CommerceClarity, we have built the infrastructure that enables brands and retailers to transform their data into intelligent actions, making AI a concrete resource for growth. We want to make innovation accessible and useful, helping companies remain visible, competitive and profitable in a market that changes every day,” says Federico Sargenti, co-CEO and co-founder of CommerceClarity, in a statement.
Created by a team with extensive experience in e-commerce who are envisioning its evolution through artificial intelligence, CommerceClarity is tapping into one of the most profound changes in digital commerce: the arrival of intelligent agents that are entering the operational heart of companies. They are building not just a tool, but an infrastructure capable of combining automation, intelligence and control in a scalable way, changing the way brands work and compete. It is an innovation that transforms complexity into a competitive advantage and could redefine global digital commerce: soon, only those who adopt technologies of this calibre will truly be able to keep up,” adds Irene Mingozzi, partner at Italian Founders Fund.
CommerceClarity has already demonstrated its ability to navigate with great skill a complex market with enormous potential that is undergoing profound transformation. The team’s ability to anticipate trends and develop proprietary technology based on artificial intelligence agents positions them as first movers in a space that is set to evolve rapidly. With a clear vision and a strongly execution-oriented approach, CommerceClarity has laid the groundwork to establish itself as one of the leading players in the new generation of intelligent e-commerce,” concludes Pieterjan Bouten, partner at Entourage.
