TeachCorner, an edtech scaleup offering group courses and personalised preparation services for tests, exams and competitions, has announced that it has closed a €1,050,000 funding round.
The round is led by lead investor Ad4Ventures, the venture capital arm of the Mediaset Group.
Among the co-investors are Urban Venture, the corporate venture capital arm of Urban Vision Group created from the merger with Moonstone Venture Capital, as well as Pamventure, Clarkson Hyde Advisory and other angel investors participating in the capital increase.
The transaction is aimed at supporting a growth strategy focused on maximising the dissemination of the platform’s educational services.
Ad4Ventures considered TeachCorner to be a solid and innovative company with a varied educational offering and a target audience in line with that of the national television network. This partnership will therefore represent an important promotional lever for TeachCorner.
At the same time, TeachCorner will benefit from significant national visibility thanks to its partnership with Urban Venture, an international leader in the out-of-home and digital out-of-home sector. Their widespread presence throughout Italy will further amplify brand awareness and support the growth strategy already underway.
TeachCorner already boasts thousands of students who have participated in courses with a 98% satisfaction rate thanks to 24/7 assistance from tutors and adaptive study plans focused on their weaknesses, after only three months of using the platform.
“This capital increase,” says Simone Bresciani, founding partner and chairman of the board of directors (pictured with the team), “marks a new chapter in the history of TeachCorner and a decisive step for its growth. We sought partners who shared our vision of the evolution of digital education and who had the ability to multiply its impact through their expertise and highly influential media channels. We believe that the power of communication on mainstream channels can further enhance our educational offering, reaching new user segments and an even wider audience.
