Pro Suite, the tool for start-ups developed by Designtech

This is not an article but an invitation to the entire Startupbusiness community. Startupbusiness is part of the Designtech ecosystem, which publishes our magazine and is committed to constantly seeking new ways to help start-up founders and innovators create better products and bring their ideas to market more quickly.

Designtech has developed the Designtech Pro Suite, a programme designed to give start-ups easier access to tools, expertise and professional resources for product development.

As part of our community, Startupbusiness readers can look forward to priority access to this initiative.

The challenge

Many start-ups struggle to access the tools and capabilities needed to develop high-quality products: professional design and creative software; AI tools for experimentation and content creation; 3D modelling, rendering and production tools; and technical support and infrastructure for prototyping.

These resources are often expensive or scattered, particularly in the early stages. Product development remains a daunting task for start-ups, which is why Designtech is launching a new programme to support not only start-up founders but also entrepreneurs from established companies such as scale-ups and SMEs in the development of innovative products

Today, entrepreneurs have access to more technology than ever before. Cloud platforms, AI tools and no-code solutions have drastically lowered the barriers to creating digital products.

However, when it comes to developing physical products, hardware, design-led solutions or complex innovation projects, the process is still far from straightforward. Start-ups often struggle to access the right mix of: professional design tools; technical expertise; prototyping facilities; and creative and engineering talent.

These resources are often scattered, costly or difficult to coordinate, especially in the early stages of a business.

As a result, many promising ideas never fully reach the market, or do so with products that could have been developed more effectively; whilst it is true that ‘done is better than perfect’, it is also true that new technologies – including those for manufacturing – make it possible to achieve highly effective results even with modest investment.

New tools

Within the Designtech ecosystem, a new initiative is therefore being developed to address this challenge: the Designtech Pro Suite.

The idea is to create a customisable programme that gives start-ups access to a range of professional tools and resources that are usually only available to larger firms or more established companies.

The programme we are developing combines: professional design and creative software; AI tools for experimentation and content generation; 3D modelling, rendering and production tools; training and technical support; and access to the Designtech ecosystem of designers, makers and partners.

The aim is to help start-ups create better products more quickly by lowering the barriers to accessing professional creative and technical expertise.

Startupbusiness is part of the wider Designtech ecosystem, which brings together designers, start-ups, companies and innovation partners committed to developing new products and technologies.

For this reason, we want to involve the Startupbusiness community of founders, entrepreneurs and innovators right from the start in shaping this initiative.

Driven by a desire to better understand the needs of start-ups developing new products, we would ask you to take two minutes to complete the survey we have put together, thereby helping us to better define the Designtech Pro Suite offering
