BusForFun raises €4.4 million through participatory financial instruments

BusForFun.com, a company specialising in sustainable and shared mobility solutions, announces the subscription of participatory financial instruments (SFP) that will lead to a capital increase totalling €4.4 million, intended to strengthen the investment plan dedicated to the development of advanced services for the tourism, sports and events sectors.

The transaction consists of a €3 million payment by FTT | Fondo Tematico Turismo, a vehicle managed by Equiter and wholly owned by Intesa Sanpaolo, dedicated to the use of PNRR funds for investments in sustainable tourism; the partial conversion of the credit deriving from the existing shareholder loan for €1 million by FNM; and, finally, a contribution of €0.4 million by founders Davide Buscato and Luca Campanile.

The transaction, on behalf of FTT | Fondo Tematico Turismo, was led and coordinated by Equiter, acting as exclusive advisor, with the support of the law firm RPLT – RP legalitax and Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center, which, through the Circular Economy Lab, an initiative of Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center and Cariplo factory aimed at accelerating Italy’s transition to a circular economy and thus helping to generate business opportunities through open innovation methodologies aimed at finding innovative solutions and technologies in the circular economy, carried out the business due diligence (At the end of 2024, Intesa Sanpaolo provided a €2.2 million loan aimed at the growth of BusForFun CH with a focus on achieving ESG objectives, supporting the company also in the start-up phase with training and strategic consulting activities through the Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Centre).

This operation will strengthen the innovative nature of the BusForFun digital platform through the adoption of advanced technologies and the expansion of services, especially in the tourism sector, with the aim of making travel to events, concerts, sporting events and group trips increasingly accessible and sustainable.

In particular, BusForFun aims to expand its offering with ancillary services such as insurance, catering and accommodation, positioning itself as a single, easy-to-use point of contact capable of meeting all user needs in just a few clicks.

“Thanks to the support of strategic partners and investors focused on sustainable innovation, we will be able to give further impetus to our business plan, which aims to revolutionise the way we travel to participate in collective experiences,” said Luca Campanile and Davide Buscato, co-founders of BusForFun (pictured), in a statement.

“Digitalisation is the green engine of sustainable mobility: this operation,” explains Giuseppe Bruno of the Equiter investment advisory team, “aims to strengthen BusForFun’s digital infrastructure to increase the quality, quantity and accessibility of the services offered and, consequently, to make travel and entertainment experiences increasingly accessible, while seeking to optimise environmental impact.”

“Financial support for BusForFun,” emphasises FNM President Andrea Gibelli, “is essential as it allows the company to continue its growth in innovative flexible and personalised mobility services for communities. This investment also allows us to make a concrete contribution to reducing the environmental impact of travel, in line with the sustainability objectives of the FNM Group’s Strategic Plan.”
