The Business Angel Club Calabria is born, the group of private investors was presented with a launch event in Lamezia Terme attended by Alessandro Immobile, founder of the national Business Angel Club, Consolato Caccamo, who takes on the role of coordinator of the Calabrian BAC, Angelo Marra, who is president of various enterprises of Confindustria Reggio Calabria, Vincenzo Squillacioti, president of Giovani imprenditori Un industria Calabria and Alesando Zaffino, managing director of Fincalabra
“Our objective,” Caccamo told Startupbusiness, “is to bring concrete support to innovation, economic growth, and the quality of life in the area through support for innovative companies capable of creating jobs and accelerating the process towards sustainability. Our investment thesis is to intervene in the early stage with average deals worth EUR 100,000 on start-ups from Calabria or that intend to open a branch in Calabria, or even that are supply chain partners of companies in our region’.
At the moment, the newly-formed Business Angel Club Calabria has not yet decided on any investments, but according to its coordinator, it is a matter of waiting a couple of months at most to see the first operation, which is currently in the due diligence stage.
