Liv4, a start-up that develops a proprietary platform for querying, analysing and generating complex technical documentation relating to industrial processes in a fast, intuitive manner that complies with industry regulations, has announced that it has closed a pre-seed round of €500,000.
Liv4’s technology enables companies to interact with their quality data in natural language, automating operations that are currently time-consuming and manual: from searching for information to producing regulated technical documentation, traceability and process validation. Its goal: to transform industrial quality into a strategic asset capable of freeing up human time, reducing errors and accelerating organisational decisions.
Leading the operation is a group of business angels with experience in the industrial, software and manufacturing sectors, including Bernhard Konzet (general manager of Blulink), Claudio Ognibene (president and CEO of Ognibene Power), Sean Milloy (entrepreneur and senior executive with global experience at Cummins and now CEO of LHP Europe) and Giovanni Giunchedi (former executive at Bottega Veneta, Sergio Rossi and Richard Ginori – Kering Group). The round was also supported by Intesa Sanpaolo and Banca d’Imola, confirming the solidity of the project and the interest in technology applied to a critical sector for Italian production.
“We decided to invest in Liv4 after analysing its potential in an industrial context that is undergoing an inevitable transformation. I am very familiar with the complexity of quality and the amount of time required for documentation and analysis activities: Liv4’s approach is concrete, immediate and built on real knowledge of the sector,” says investor Bernhard Konzet in a statement. “I strongly believe in the founders’ vision and their ability to bring generative AI into processes that currently represent a significant expenditure of time and resources for companies. Many companies already use structured information systems today: I believe this is the ideal approach to leverage the data that has been collected for years.”
Officially founded in 2025 by Patricia Achinca and Matteo Giunchedi, Liv4 was initially created in 2023 as a solution for the intelligent management of information related to travel organisation.
Giunchedi, an automation engineer with experience in leading companies such as Marposs and Blulink, brings technical expertise in the sector; Achinca, a graduate in Communication Sciences, comes from the world of HR and has gained cross-disciplinary skills in communication and marketing.
After years of study, experimentation and initial prototypes, the founders identified a clear need in the industrial world: to simplify and accelerate data management and documentation activities in quality processes.
“Our vision is to help companies transform industrial quality into a truly strategic process through the use of generative AI,” explain the co-founders. “We do this through a proprietary platform capable of understanding the technical context, querying company data and automatically generating documents that are already formatted and compliant with industry regulations. With this round, we will extend the product’s functionality, strengthen the team and accelerate validation on the Italian industrial market.”
Today, quality is perceived as a mandatory, complex process that is often slowed down by repetitive, manual activities with a very high risk of human error. This need has been confirmed by the testimonials of the companies involved in the initial tests, which identify the Liv4 platform as a concrete solution capable of reducing operating times, increasing accuracy and improving the analysis of data distributed across internal systems.
This is how the current version of Liv4 was born: an AI-powered platform capable of understanding technical industrial language, connecting structured and unstructured data, extracting relevant information and automatically generating documentation that complies with the regulations of various regulated sectors. Real-world experience translates into faster, more automated and secure processes, freeing up time for high-impact decision-making activities.
Liv4 has already launched pilot projects with Nupi Industrie Italiane, as well as others in the food and beverage and earthmoving sectors. The team consists of seven people and plans to bring in new talent in the tech and product areas in the coming months, with the aim of strengthening the development of the platform and scaling the technology to new regulated sectors.
