Tutornow, a start-up specialising in digital solutions for education and learning, announces that it has completed the acquisition of 100% of the shares of Hdemia, a training company founded in 2016 and specialising in language courses for businesses, professionals and individuals.
The acquisition of Hdemia, a Swiss company founded in 2016 and known for its innovative approach to corporate language training, will enable Tutornow to integrate specialist skills, enriching its training offering with personalised courses offering high added value. This strategy is part of Tutornow’s consolidation plan in the European market, which sees Switzerland as a strategic operational hub. Hdemia brings with it a consolidated B2B customer portfolio and an innovative training model that integrates perfectly and complements the Tutornow platform.
The start-up recently announced the completion of a €1 million investment round, which will be used to invest in the artificial intelligence implementation roadmap.
Hdemia is an SME based in Switzerland that has built its business on a training model focused on methodological innovation and adaptability to business contexts. The experience gained in the field of language learning for businesses and professionals represents a strategic asset that will enable Tutornow to expand its offering to the corporate segment, responding to the needs of international organisations in a constantly evolving European context. The integration of Hdemia’s expertise into the Tutornow portfolio will enable the development of new services dedicated to professional training.
“The investment in Tutornow reflects my confidence in the potential of this start-up and its ability to transform the future of digital education and training. The combination of advanced technology and a customer-oriented approach, together with the strategic acquisition of Hdemia, positions Tutornow as a key player in the European online training market,” said Mario Peveraro, lead investor in Tutornow and co-founder of ONE4 Group, in a statement.
“This is a major milestone for Tutornow. The investment round will enable us to accelerate our technological growth and expand our impact in the education sector, while the acquisition of Hdemia will strengthen our ability to offer excellent training solutions for businesses,” says Nicola De Carlo, co-founder and CFO of Tutornow.
Founded in 2021 by Riccardo Sciortino, Nicola De Carlo, Andrei Braila and Luca Dei Rossi (pictured), Tutornow offers a digital platform based on personalised lessons and interactive tools, providing academic support, language certifications, remedial courses and corporate training. Thanks to a 100% year-on-year increase in turnover and a team that has grown from 4 to 30 people, the company pays particular attention to students with SLDs and SEN, enhancing teaching effectiveness through certified tutors and an intuitive user experience. Since its inception, Tutornow has already delivered over 150,000 hours of lessons, involving a network of more than 15,000 highly qualified tutors. It is present on the main corporate welfare platforms such as Edenred and Double You of the Zucchetti group, and has already implemented corporate welfare programmes directly with several Italian companies.
Tutornow’s training offer for businesses is based on tailor-made courses for the development of professional skills. The platform offers individual lessons, small group courses and self-learning content, aimed at achieving recognised certifications (Oxford, Microsoft, CFA, PMP). The areas covered include business languages, data analysis, technology, artificial intelligence, finance and ESG.
