Elai receives €3 million from AI Accelerator for predictive AI

BigProfiles announces the closure of a €3 million investment round and its evolution into Elai, with Antonio Sciuto (former global business development officer at Salesforce and president of Nestlé North America) joining as chief executive officer.

BigProfiles was founded in 2018 by Lorenzo Luce (pictured) and Roberto Visceglia and immediately began providing predictive artificial intelligence solutions to over 100 client companies in 15 countries. The meeting between Lorenzo Luce and Antonio Sciuto marks the start of a new phase of development, with the ambition of democratising predictive AI across all business functions, making it accessible and scalable on a global level.

This vision is becoming a reality thanks to a €3 million investment from AI Acceleration, a vehicle created by Sciuto and supported by a group of senior executives. The deal elevates the company onto the global stage as an enterprise-grade SaaS platform, officially launching Elai. Elai is an autonomous data science agent that uses generative AI reasoning to create predictive artificial intelligence models.

A unique solution on the global scene, capable of transforming raw data into a scalable, enriched and clean data model, generating predictive AI models in a matter of hours rather than months, with a 90% reduction in costs compared to the current state of the art and a measurable business impact. The investment round, together with the combination of advanced AI, product and technology expertise developed by Lorenzo Luce at BigProfiles and Antonio Sciuto’s successful track record as an executive, enables the company to accelerate an ambitious product roadmap, evolve its organisational structure and strengthen its competitive positioning as an enterprise-ready company, ready to compete in the international tech and Artificial Intelligence landscape.

“After more than 25 years in the corporate world, working for Procter & Gamble, McKinsey, Nestlé and Salesforce, I chose to step outside my comfort zone to tackle some of the most significant challenges facing companies today: data integration, accuracy and enrichment, which are essential for the development of predictive models to support corporate decision-making processes,” said Sciuto in a statement. “With Elai, we are bringing to market a solution that allows companies to democratise predictive AI, transforming it from experimentation to scalable and measurable business impact.”

“Elai enriches the global landscape of artificial intelligence solutions with a unique combination of generative AI and predictive AI, making predictive intelligence accessible to business users, which until now has been the exclusive preserve of data scientists. With Antonio’s arrival, the company has radically changed its trajectory and is now ready to compete on a global scale, even with hyperscalers,” says Luce.

“We have been investors in BigProfiles since 2018, having recognised early on the potential of Artificial Intelligence in analysing large corporate data,” adds Giulio Montoli, CIO of Zest . “With the evolution into Elai and this new round, which also includes the entry of high-profile managers to support the scale-up phase, we are confident that the team will establish itself internationally in AI-based software solutions for corporate sales processes.”

“Our support for BigProfiles is the result of a long collaboration, during which we have come to appreciate the team’s expertise and the soundness of their strategic vision,” emphasises Alessandro Scortecci, Director of Direct Investments at CDP Venture Capital. . “The creation of Elai is testament to the company’s growth trajectory, enhanced by the arrival of outstanding professionals from the global ecosystem, whose contribution in terms of know-how and networks will be decisive for its progressive technological development and success on international markets.”
