Intuos, a start-up that helps aircraft fleet operators grow by enhancing efficiency, safety and compliance through an integrated platform that combines operational software and patented IoT devices with machine learning-based analytics, has announced that it has closed a €720,000 investment round.
The capital raised will enable the company to complete key technological developments and begin exploring the US market, following its expansion in Europe and South Africa, where a distribution agreement was signed at the end of 2025 with Absolute Aviation Parts, the official Textron Aviation distributor for Beechcraft, Cessna, Hawker and Textron eAviation for Central and Southern Africa.
The investment is led by a group of investors including Argo, the traveltech acceleration programme created by CDP Venture Capital in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and managed by Zest and Venisia, Techstars, Ventive and a number of club deals and business angels.
“We chose to invest in Intuos because of the strength of its founding team, which combines international-level managerial expertise with advanced technical skills in the development of proprietary patented hardware technology,” said Giulia Fazzini, senior portfolio manager at Zest, in a statement. “Furthermore, the vertical integration between IoT devices and the management software platform is a differentiating factor in the aviation sector, which is still characterised by poorly digitised processes. Intuos has the potential to become the new standard in aviation digitisation, radically improving the efficiency and safety of flight operations.”
Founded in Rome with its operational headquarters in L’Aquila at the Aeroporto dei Parchi airport, Intuos was born from the meeting between Carolina Gianardi, CEO with experience in business management, and Vito Tedeschi, CTO with experience in software development and database management.
Traditional non-commercial aviation software is no longer able to handle the growing operational complexity of the sector, leaving a critical gap in the integrated management of training, operations and fleets.
“Non-commercial aviation is undergoing its greatest transformation. Operational complexity is growing faster than traditional aviation software can handle,” explain the founders (pictured with the team). “What is missing is structured control over training, operations and fleet management. With this round, we will complete the technological development of our platform and bring our innovation to the American market, building on the experience gained in Europe and the agreement already signed in South Africa.”
This led to the creation of the Intuos platform: a single operational solution built on two components: The Manager, which digitises every aspect of aeronautical operations, from flight planning to fleet maintenance, centralising all processes in a single integrated platform for flying clubs, flight schools and commercial operators, and the InFlight Data Monitoring solution, which combines patented proprietary IoT devices with real-time telemetry and engine performance, transforming every aircraft into an intelligent data hub. It provides live monitoring, pilot performance analysis and immediate anomaly detection, without the need for manual uploads.
Together, they close the circle between what happens in flight and operational management: a unique, verifiable and scalable cycle based on technology protected by two patents, one of which has been extended to 158 countries.
” Intuos provides fleet operators with a single platform that natively integrates hardware and software to bridge the gap between operational management and actual in-flight performance,” add Gianardi and Tedeschi. “Thanks to our patented IoT devices and the unified database that powers each module, we eliminate data redundancy, ensure information consistency and improve operational quality, so teams can focus on what really matters: flying safely.” .
In addition to the two founders, the Intuos team now consists of ten staff members, eight of whom are in the technical team and two in sales, one of whom is based in Canada.
