Wayla, electric vehicles are coming and the agreement with Atlante

Wayla, the Italian start-up that provides a van pooling service in Italy, announces the introduction of five electric vehicles with more planned in the coming months and the signing of a new partnership with Atlante, a company committed to developing one of the largest fast and ultra-fast charging networks in Southern Europe, powered entirely by renewable energy, to recharge them.

Wayla will employ the new Fiat E-Ducato electric vehicles, equipped with a 110 kWh battery and 150 kW fast charging technology, which allows you to go from 20 to 80% charge in just over 30 minutes. These features guarantee an estimated range of between 300 and 350 km for every vehicle.

The collaboration between Wayla and Atlante will allow the start-up’s electric vehicles to recharge at Atlante’s network of charging stations under special conditions, helping to make shared transport even more accessible and sustainable. Wayla vehicles travelling on urban roads will feature the Atlante logo, highlighting the synergy between the two companies, while the start-up’s shuttle services will support events organised by Atlante, further consolidating the partnership.

Wayla was created with the aim of making urban travel more sustainable, efficient and safe. Through a digital platform, the start-up allows passengers to share journeys, optimising the number of vehicles on the road and thus reducing costs and emissions. The service, already active in Milan and the province of Monza and Brianza, represents a concrete alternative to private transport, integrating with other available options and offering simple and transparent bookings, with travel times and costs communicated in advance.

Atlante is one of the leading operators in the creation of a fast and ultra-fast charging infrastructure for electric vehicles, with a rapidly expanding network in Italy, France, Spain, Portugal and soon Switzerland, which already has over a thousand stations. Milan and its surrounding province are one of the nerve centres of the Atlante network in Italy, with over 70 charging points in iconic locations around the city, such as CityLife and the Foody Agri-Food Market, as well as stations at airports, city entrances such as the hub in Via Gentile, and on Milan’s ring roads such as Cascina Gobba and Muggiano.

All Atlante infrastructure, which in Italy has over 1,500 charging points, is powered by renewable energy and integrated, where possible, with storage and photovoltaic production systems, ensuring a reliable and sustainable charging experience. The widespread presence throughout Milan and its province reflects Atlante’s vision: to promote zero-emission, accessible and interconnected urban mobility, in line with the evolution of cities and the new demands of shared mobility.

“Integrating electric vehicles into our fleet is a concrete commitment to more liveable and sustainable cities. We want to offer our users a service that is not only efficient but also environmentally friendly, so that van pooling becomes the most natural choice for citizens and businesses. The partnership with Atlante represents a fundamental step in our mission to transform urban mobility,” said Carlo Bettini, CEO and co-founder of Wayla, in a statement.

“Con Wayla condividiamo la stessa visione: trasformare la mobilità urbana in un’esperienza sostenibile, condivisa e connessa. Both our companies were founded with the aim of innovating, starting with cities and people, making travel easier, more accessible and more environmentally friendly. Together, we want to demonstrate that technology and collaboration can truly make our cities more liveable and future-proof,” says Gabriele Tuccillo, CEO of Atlante Italia.
