The Techstars Transformative World program based in Turin welcomes the participants of the fifth edition, 12 startups that represent, in the words of Martin Olczyk, general manager of the project, a significant milestone as they are the first class of the Techstars Transformative World<\/strong> Torino program that expands on the previous programs that focused on the themes <\/span>Smart Mobility<\/span> and <\/span>Cities of the Future<\/span>.<\/span> The startups that have participated in Techstars Torino’s programs have raised more than $90 million in funding to date, and this has prompted the program team to broaden its scope to encompass sectors such as quantum computing, maritime, deeptech, edtech, AI, proptech, genAI, audiotech, future of work, and hospitality,<\/strong> The program is interested in fostering innovation in various technology fields.<\/span> In particular, this year’s group boasts the highest participation of Italian startups ever recorded, with six companies among the selected participants. This underlines the growing entrepreneurial landscape in Italy and confirms Turin’s position as a hub for technological innovation. This year’s participants come from Italy, Germany, Hungary, Austria, Vietnam, Slovenia and will live in Turin for the next 13 weeks.<\/strong><\/span> “Reflecting on the challenges overcome in previous years, 2023 stands out as a testament to resilience in the midst of adversity. Despite market fluctuations and geopolitical turmoil, our alumni companies have continued to thrive, securing a record $38 million in funding in the last 12 months. In addition, we have celebrated a successful exit and are on the verge of finalizing another one. The resilience of the accelerator and its participating founders has been evident as they navigate through turbulent times, emerging stronger and more united than ever before,” Olczyk said in a statement. <\/strong> <\/span>In addition to the success of our alumni, we have expanded our team to better serve the growing community of founders. The recent additions of Sheila Simon as program manager and Virginia Pigato as investment analyst underscore our commitment to providing unparalleled support to our founders during and beyond the accelerator journey.”<\/strong> Techstars Torino has also started collaborations with <\/span>LIFTT<\/span>, a venture capital fund, and <\/span>Arcanys Ventures<\/span>, a technology investment vehicle, to provide founders with skills and resources.
