Back in Milan from 27-29 October 2025, at Palazzo Castiglioni, the second edition of 0100 International,<\/strong> a global conference that aims to bring together the most authoritative voices in private equity and venture capital: from long-term LPs (limited partners) to next-generation GPs (general partners), from visionary founders to public sector stakeholders. <\/p>\n\n

The world of private markets is undergoing a significant evolution, driven by transformational forces: the growing demand for liquidity from institutional investors, new generation family offices with a strong focus on impact, a renewed interest in infrastructure and real assets, and the emergence of new centres of innovation outside the traditional epicentres of technology. With Europe surpassing EUR 1 trillion in AUM (assets under management) in private equity and Italy growing rapidly, Milan is playing an increasingly central role: not only as a financial capital, but also as a strategic bridge between global capital and local opportunities. <\/p>\n\n

‘Today, private markets are no longer measured only in terms of performance, but also in terms of purpose, long-term value and quality of partnerships,’ says Pavol Fuchs, CEO of Zero One Hundred Conferences, <\/strong>in a note. ‘Milan is ideally placed to host this global dialogue, and 0100 International is establishing itself as the platform of choice for meaningful connections. <\/p>\n\n

Organised in collaboration with the City of Milan and Milano&Partners, 0100 International reinforces Milan’s growing centrality as a European hub for private capital. In<\/strong> Italy, the investment landscape is evolving thanks to institutional reforms, renewed international interest and an increasingly mature innovation ecosystem, making the country an attractive destination for investors. <\/p>\n\n

‘With the recent regulatory reforms, such as the Scaleup Act,<\/a> Milan can become an even more strategic hub for venture capital and private equity,’ says Alessia Cappello, Councillor for Economic Development, Fashion and Design of the Municipality of Milan. ‘<\/strong>Although the reform is still in an evolutionary phase, it is already supporting start-ups and creating a more favourable framework for new investments, in particular by pension funds and social security institutions. <\/p>\n\n

The 2025 edition will feature over 100 high-profile speakers from leading institutions such as Fondo Italiano d’Investimento, European Investment Fund, Partners Group, Adams Street Partners, Ardian, Seedcamp<\/strong> and many others. Over 700 participants will discuss the future of private markets: from secondaries and growth capital to technological innovation and long-term sustainable impact. <\/p>\n\n

“Secondaries have gone from being a niche to a necessity. In 2026, the sector will grow due to a combination of factors: GPs looking for liquidity, LPs looking for flexibility and capital ready to serve both,’ explains Thomas Hallinger, managing director secondaries at Golding Capital Partners <\/strong> – The secondary market is not just catching up with private equity, it is transforming it. It is like an operating system upgrade that the industry didn’t know it needed’. <\/p>\n\n

With the participation of institutional investors, family offices and VCs from Europe, the US, Africa and the Middle East, 0100 International offers a truly global look at capital flows and investment strategies. <\/p>\n\n

“Venture capital is undergoing a recalibration phase,” says Mareme Dieng, partner Africa at 500 Global, “We are seeing longer exit times and a renewed focus on sustainable growth.<\/strong> In emerging markets, the VC has to evolve from a simple funder of bold ideas to a true builder of investment vehicles capable of sustaining founders over the long term.” <\/p>\n\n

Key topics on the 2025 agenda will include growth opportunities related to renewable energy, digital infrastructure and climate technologies, areas that are increasingly central to investors, both institutional and private. <\/p>\n\n

‘Infrastructure has never been considered the most exciting asset class,’ says Dirk Holz, managing director of Commerz Real Fund Management. <\/strong>‘But renewable energy infrastructure, in particular electricity grids, is not yet ready to meet the demand of the future, either in Europe or elsewhere. <\/p>\n\n

Ha curato il volume \u2018L\u2019innovazione che non ti aspetti. Contesti e visioni per l\u2019impresa\u2019 , l\u2019edizione italiana di \u2018La startup digitale, guida pratica step by step\u2019 e ha scritto la prefazione all\u2019edizione italiana de \u2018La quarta era\u2019 di Byron Reese, ed \u00e8 co-autore di \u2018Cosa e Dove: strategie digitali di ricerca del lavoro\u2019, tutti editi da FrancoAngeli.
