Tada, a start-up operating since early 2025, leverages the infrastructure of smart electricity meters, the second generation of which will account for 92% of the installed base in Italy by the end of 2025, in order to overcome the limitations of traditional, complex energy footprint capture systems.<\/p>\n\n
The start-up overcomes the time and cost inefficiencies generated by the installation of current clamps in electrical panels, as well as the extreme inaccuracies of NILM (non-intrusive load monitoring) solutions without current clamps, integrating the advantages of both methodologies, creating a true digital twin of the home, or any space, be it a commercial activity or an industry, which enables monitoring and allows for significant energy savings as well as increased safety for the home and its inhabitants. <\/p>\n\n
For market operators such as energy suppliers, insurance companies, appliance manufacturers and financial institutions, the Tada solution is an enabler for the development of value-added services and offers, as well as a great opportunity to improve customer service efficiency with a view to increasing customer satisfaction by anticipating needs and issues.<\/p>\n\n

Just think that even a single malfunctioning appliance can have a considerable impact on your energy bill: we have calculated that energy wasted due to appliance malfunctions and system losses amounts to up to 30% of energy, equal to approximately \u00a3350 per year for an average family. Ours is a very ambitious project that starts in Italy but aims to bring its benefits to the whole of Europe and, possibly, beyond, contributing to a concrete step forward in the use of energy resources. This not only saves money and makes consumption more efficient, but also gives people a clear roadmap for actively contributing to environmental well-being. Because if the fight for sustainability also depends on the habits and responsibility of individuals, then it is essential to know how to take action. Furthermore, taking the digital footprint of every single appliance means recording the digital footprint of the people who use them, identifying any anomalies in the daily routines of elderly people or those in need of assistance. <\/p>\n\n The solution leverages the existing infrastructure of 2G meters, using proprietary artificial intelligence algorithms and NILM technology. The system breaks down the electricity consumption of homes, businesses and commercial activities, identifying the contributions of individual appliances\/systems and, where present, photovoltaic systems. The technology detects anomalies and inefficient habits, providing a clear and detailed analysis of energy consumption in spaces via a digital dashboard, allowing users to modify their management and change the habits of those who live there. By identifying energy inefficiencies that are not normally detectable, the system creates a digital energy twin of the home for customised optimisation and provides alerts and proactive recommendations to maximise consumption efficiency, allowing energy suppliers and appliance manufacturers to prioritise the most urgent interventions and anticipate critical malfunctions. <\/p>\n\n “This type of approach,” continues Fumi, “can generate enormous value for the industry and consumers. Just consider that around 80% of calls to energy call centres are related to billing issues, mostly due to consumption and metering issues that result in unexpected increases in bills. <\/strong> Predictive monitoring enables suppliers to take a proactive approach by anticipating overconsumption issues, drastically reducing complaints and operating costs, and exponentially increasing customer satisfaction. <\/p>\n\n Through its B2B2C offering, Tada operates at the crossroads of two rapidly expanding markets: smart energy\/smart homes and data-driven services for energy efficiency, responding to the needs of a potential market of over 30 million homes in Italy and 200 million in Europe.
