The service will be operated <a href=\"https:\/\/www.startupbusiness.it\/en\/wayla-electric-vehicles-are-coming-and-the-agreement-with-atlante\/148035\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">using Wayla\u2019s electric vans,<\/a> making it the first electric minibus service to provide a direct, stop-free connection between the Lombardy regional capital and the airport, offering more affordable fares than traditional alternatives.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Founded in Milan in October 2024, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.startupbusiness.it\/en\/wayla-extends-the-hourly-and-geographical-coverage-of-its-service\/145062\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Wayla launched its service in the city on 31 October 2024<\/a> and has also been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.startupbusiness.it\/en\/waylas-urban-transport-service-is-now-also-active-in-monza-and-brianza\/146401\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">operating in Monza and Brianza<\/a> since June 2025. The start-up brings to Italy a mobility model that is already well-established abroad: on-demand urban van pooling, which uses technology to optimise routes and vehicle occupancy, allowing passengers to share journeys. The aim is to make a high-demand route such as that between Milan and Milan Bergamo Airport (BGY), and vice versa, more accessible, sustainable and direct, with an alternative that combines comfort and efficiency with reduced emissions and traffic.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cMilan Bergamo Airport is always keen to develop environmentally friendly, cutting-edge projects aimed at improving transport links with its catchment area and enhancing the airport experience for passengers and users,\u201d said Matteo Ba\u00f9, non-aviation commercial director at Milan Bergamo Airport, in a statement.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Initially, the airport service will operate between 18:00 and 03:00, before gradually expanding to other times of the day. The aim is to maintain the convenience of a door-to-door service which, by combining journeys for several passengers in the same area, will enable savings through car-sharing. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cLaunching an electric van-pooling service on such a strategic airport route is a concrete step towards innovation: an electric, digital and integrated service that addresses a real need for thousands of people,\u201d says Carlo Bettini, CEO and co-founder of Wayla \u2013 \u201cWe believe that shared mobility also plays a social role: reducing barriers to access, making travel fairer and contributing to more liveable cities and regions. With Wayla, you can set off and arrive with a single booking, in a simple and transparent way.\u201d <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With the new service, users will be able to book a journey to the airport or from the airport to Milan, with a simple and transparent experience: the fare is disclosed in advance, and bookings and payments are managed directly within the app. At the airport, pick-ups and drop-offs will take place at designated points. Further operational information and updates will be available on the website of Sacbo, the company that manages the airport, which is located in the municipality of Orio al Serio and is named after
