Mavriq completes the acquisition of Switcho ahead of schedule

The acquisition of Switcho, which began in July 2024 as we reported here, has now been completed. In March 2026, the company owned by Mavriq acquired the remaining 20% held by the founding partners Marco Tricarico, Redi Vyshka and Francesco Laffi (pictured), thereby reaching 100% ownership. This move marks the evolution of a journey that began two years ago and is now being consolidated on the basis of increasingly mature synergies.

Switcho now has 1.5 million registered users and operates via its mobile app and website, primarily in the utilities sector. Switcho is also integrated as a service within more than 10 Italian banks, including Intesa Sanpaolo, Banco BPM and Credem, confirming the platform’s ability to position itself as an enabling infrastructure in the B2B2C segment as well.

Switcho, which closed its 2025 financial year with an EBITDA of around €12 million – more than double that of 2024 – remains central to Mavriq’s strategy, which aims to further strengthen its presence in the consumer digital services market. The founders will support the integration process, guiding the company through this new phase of growth until the end of the year.

Tricarico says in a statement: “It has been a long and challenging journey, but one that brings real satisfaction: together with an exceptional team, we have built something that works, has found its market, and will continue to grow with Mavriq’s help. That is no small feat, and we are very happy and proud of what we have achieved together.” Vyshka adds: “We view this conclusion with a sense of balance and pride. Switcho has become a solid company, with figures that speak for themselves. It is the result of difficult choices and a team that never stopped and always put the end customer first”, whilst Laffi states: “Closing this chapter with these results gives even greater meaning to the efforts made over the years. We never gave up, and the drive to create an innovative product has never wavered, and we are convinced it will continue to be there.”

Alessio Santarelli, CEO of Mavriq, says: “Switcho is a platform we believed in wholeheartedly from the outset, as we could clearly see the significant synergies within the group that could be created by their entry into the Mavriq ecosystem.” This year’s figures confirm this. We remain committed to investing in this project, with the support of those who built it, whom we thank for having taken the company to this level of both quantity and quality.
