Business around Instagram is rising! Connect Ventures, Betaworks and a group of angels bet a million dollar on Nitrogram, a new marketing platform to help professionals leverage social photos powered by Teleportd

A year after joining Leading European accelerator Seedcamp, the French/UK startup has secured seed
funding from ambitious UK and US tech investors to let brands, events and media make sense of the millions of photos shared every day from smartphones around the world.
Nitrogram, an Instagram marketing platform for pros with 20% weekly growth
With a aim to make sense of social photos for professionals, Teleportd recently focused their technology on
the Instagram platform. Nitrogram is a marketing and social engagement service with both advanced
analytics and easy-to-curate Photo Galleries for professionals to better harness the power of their community on Instagram.
Co-founders explain the reasons behind the launch: “Instagram sees more than 25 new photos added every
second to their service and brands are increasingly sensitive to the power of crowd-sourced photography.
Companies like Nike see close to 20,000 photos mentioning their products everyday on Instagram and want to better leverage them.”
The recent launch of Instagram proﬁle pages only allows brands to relay part of the story on the web, still
leaving out the content that is generated by almost anonymous users but that can be very relevant to a given
product or service. Gabriel Hubert: “Earned media is changing a lot with user-generated photos: individuals are reaching out to their favourite brands through hashtags, sharing fully-ﬂedged stories with visual content: unboxing experiences, wish lists, etc… Nitrogram helps brands and digital marketing professionals better understand, leverage and increase the reach of the content that their customers and potential customers are sharing on Instagram”.
Co-founders on the focus on Instagram to work with brands: “We now have quite some experience with
cross-platform photo search. Instagram was a natural ﬁrst focus for Nitrogram because it has captured
brands’ hearts with stellar user growth and the promise of a consistent visual experience”.
Nitrogram has been growing its user base by over 20% weekly since its launch early October.
Investors will help Teleportd build a great product and getting exposure to brands and media

Teleportd was founded mid-2011 by Stanislas Polu and Gabriel Hubert, both French engineers and Stanford University graduates. The company, HQ-ed in London with a development team in Paris, is looking to grow: hungry, talented developers and data scientists “who don’t give a […]” are welcome to join. The company plans to iterate on the features of the services they offer and anticipates the release of additional advanced analytics by the end of 2012.
