Digital Magics goes public on Milan's Stock Exchange

Digital Magics, (Ticker: DM) the venture incubator of digital startups went public today at 9am when it’s shares started to be traded at Borsa Italiana (Italian Stock Exchange) on AIM Italia, the Alternative Investment Market for small and medium-sized Italian enterprises with high growth potential.

The company was supported in the listing process by the following partners: Integrae SIM, as Global Coordinator and Nomad adviser, DLA Piper who ensured its support for legal issues, BDO, as audit company in charge of accounting issues, Burson-Marsteller who dealt with the financial communication, Cattaneo Zanetto & Co. who managed institutional relationships and LEXIS who provided fiscal advice.

Integrae SIM will act as specialist in accordance with the AIM ITALIA Issuer Regulations (Regolamento Emittenti AIM Italia).

The placing operation concerned the issue of 1,239,247 new shares of which 630,847 for the purpose of the conversion in advance of the convertible bonds issued by the company and 608,400 in connection with the capital increase reserved for qualified investors.

The total capital increase amounts to 8,585,000 euro (including the share-premium); therefore, the post-listing capitalization of the company results in about 25.6 million euro with floating funds equal to about 37% of the total capital.

The trading initial price was set at 7.50 euro per share.

“We believe that AIM Italia can play a crucial role in the set-up of an Italian venture capital market, by supporting the development of technology companies with high growth potential and cooperating with all operators, such as funds and investment companies that are already operating within the innovation marketplace” – says Enrico Gasperini, Founder and Chairman of Digital Magics in a note released by the freshly listed company – “In other countries, secondary markets play a key role helping innovative small- and medium-sized enterprises to carry out their growth. The most successful enterprises will be able to fully access the primary market. As a matter of fact, our initiative is an ecosystem-based operation aiming to strengthen our leadership position in this key marketplace”.
